There has been progress on the minis new home though  This is her new garage, still some tidying to do, and things like a workbench and tools to go in. Still, decent amount of space   that's the engine which we will hopefully be able to fix the gearbox with. |

Garage floor has a coat of paint on it. Mini towed up and put in it next weekend, maybe?

Very good  Just spent 15 minutes on mine, taking her apart. Before  After  I've removed all 4 wheels, bonnet, horn and air filter. Got stumped removing last bit of the air filter as I need a stubby phillips, and all I have is a stubby flathead that is still too big  |

Great news. No excuses now. A nice dry garage certainly beats struggling to work on the Mini outside especially with our lovely climate. Keep us updated with progress. |

 Oil drained (few bits of metal came out with the plug...), grille off, carb, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, alternator, starter motor, dizzy and all related leads, pipes, hoses etc. removed. So decent progress in the time we have. |

We pulled the new engine apart today. All the gears looks good in this one, but there was some play in the layshaft. So after some work we got it out, there's wear in it where the bearings are. So gonna price one up, or use the one from the old box.

Box of goodies arrived today, various stuff needed to get the mini back on the road. Hopefully some more progress can be made soon.
