The standard metro cam is rubbish, I know rover used it on the mg turbo but that was to keep the power down and have a reliable engine and avoid warranty work

T2 is a better choice than The t3 tho Cam choice in turbo applications is very different, you don't want huge overlaps etc. Basically you want to look for a cam that gives torque rather than high revs Yep t2 is better as its smaller and better suited to mini engines as it will spool up quicker |

Would it not be better to go for a 266 or mg metro cam or even the sw5 ? metro cam is basicaly the same as 266 and alot cheaper, ive had alot of information off wil_h and he knows what hes doing :L off the main man himself  Just to be clear, the MG and the 266 are similar cams, but the differance is in the duration, not the lift. the 266 has slghtly more overlap. For a turbo application, the less overlap, the lower the boost threshold. yours is a standard metro cam tho? the mg cam has a grove between lobes 1&2. A standard 1275 cam has no markings

ive talked to the guy who sold it to me he posted as fast road cam mg metro, which is obvs not what i have so im gonna try and get my money back
