Helo all, Please let me introduce Flubber, my 1967 Mini Van Hes pretty much standard, but with a Metro A+ 998... this will be changing Hes got Cooper S 7.5" Brakes on the front, so I can actually stop ;D Other than, I've now got a 1.3/4" Maniflow exhaust, with a Maniflow ph2 LCB, and some sort of alloy inlet... I've also fitted a few more engine gauges, so I can see if anything is going wrong sooner, I'll be adding more, I've just got to wait till I've tweaked everything else before I worry about the inside The next things that are happening for him now, is handling tweaks... Taking the rear subframe off, which I am going to restore with new radius arms, neg camber brakets, new brakes, new brake lines, new hand brake cable, new cones, Hi-Los... you get the idea... Along with GAZ adjustable shocks. This will be happeneing in one of these "dry" weekends... eventually the front will have the same treatment... But Before I fit my "revamped" front subby, I'm currently building a 1380, with an expected 110bhp and 100ft/lb torque... and all with a SW5 cam, so mild and smooth So instead of plucking the engine out, I'll drop it along with the old subby... So thats him for now, I'll update this thread as I move on, but for now, heres him being a tart.... My 1380 progress...

He's a beaut and can't wait to see him on a run with us lot. You'll need that 1380 to keep up with Dia and his MkII, he's not telling us whats under his bonnet!!!

Yeh brooklands Green - gives him the instant "I am old" look... I love it hehe He's so retro, its cool Hes got a few more tweaks to have done yet, but hopefully he'll keep up with most "hot hatches"... When is the next meet guys? I'll try and pop along, as the 1380 won;t be in till around xmas time...

well he is going for a re-spray soon, but staying the same colour... just better painted And I am fitting some arches, as I want wider wheels... been really putting off fitting arches, but since fitting my 10x5 100+ alloys... they stick out the front a bit, and well I think one day I'm going to get pulled by the plod... so Grp2, with sill lip for chrome strip placement, will be going on, and in possible CF exposed weave... and then I'll fit some 10x6 Deep dish Minilites...

Well I think its about time I updated this Anyways, after Tradeger house he was purring, and reached an all time top speed on the way home... But then the following week, I had to go to reading, where my 998 promptly came to and end with a pop Me being towed home from Reading.... Anyways, got back from Ibiza, and had a "lets start the mini" moment... Engine out, along with the subframe, ready for some major refurbishment... Engine bay is now clean, painted, and I've started the rebuild And a glimps of my 1380 Only hard bit, which exhaust do I choose?

Pick your brain time Dog. RE the exhausts, How much ground clearance would i expect, say with a Maniflow twin box system on my Woody estate possibly on 10 s.??

If fitting standard mountings, you will have no issues at all! Its what I have been running on the Van, if its maniflow, it fits up as high, if not better, than standard. If your keeping it all standard heights, I wouldn't worry about clearance...

I'd go for the sporty looking middle one. It's not too big and is better looking than the pea-shooter on the left.
;D

I always normally swear by Maniflow, but I'll see how loud this is going to be on the 1380, as I found it slightly too quiet for me with the 998...

Not really any progress at the mo... But heres a piccy I forgot to post up... Still awaiting my flywheel, but I might set about starting to refurbish my drive shafts tomorrow, got new swivel joints, and CV joints to fit... also I have track rod ends that need to go on too, and my new tie rods. Should be enough to keep me busy...
