If you Fancy selling those wheels drop me a line at the right price or swop for 7x13 mini superlights or ultralights ? some up dates took the door of to see the extent of the damage and outer door skins need rewelding as both have cracked and inner pannel where the door bolts on to drivers side needs realinign and rewelding. and a small patch of welding on the innter wing and the front shock mounts as well but first of need to clear the garage out and get it in there as being one with a sunroof the seal has gone and leaking. so if anyone has or knows any one with a britax sunroof seal can you let me know please

Good going Alex. You'll soon be sorted and back 'on the road' at that rate.

Problem is now waiting for the replacement inner wing as of Xmas post being slow. But it's looking like will be going flip from as the cost is far small

You're certainly getting stuck in Alex. I think you'll find a bit more rust in the bottom of the door pillar mind you. At least all the repair panels are available if that is the case, which is a good thing. Personally, I'm not a big fan of fibreglass flip fronts, but with the cost saving over the steel replacement and the obvious access advantage I can understand why Mini owners opt for FG front ends. Keep us posted with the progress.

well from the hing side the pannel is fine its just the inner wing pannel but got a whole nea section for there soming just hope the post itsnt to slow. also any tips on the shock mounts as they are a bit rusty and around them I had to repair the area behind the shocker mounts on my 67 Woody. Most of the inner wing rearward of the mount area was repaired with new steel. Here's a few pics of how I did the repair around / behind the shock mount. The layer of rotten steel was carefully cut out to reveal what was left of the inner wing strengthening plate. I wasn't happy with what I found so I cut out even more rotten bits until I reached some good steel. Then I made up a new section of strengthener and welded it into place. A new front half inner wing was then welded into place to cover up all the other repairs.
