well he said the best not to streatch the gap might caus other problems and i said to adjust the door to the size but he recons would be to much on the door but which ever im not very happy with it at all as i was fine with it the way it was but he didnt want me to take the door away and sort it my self whihc its my car and is annoying me even more

well poped over to day with a few otehr bits he wanted adn looks like he has streadted the openign for the door with someting so hopefully all will be ok

haha had the best buy for the mini other day. brought a h&h ignition kit for the distributor and it arrived today. so opend it up and saw a brand new kit like the guy said but he also said he had brought a new backing plate as well but attached to that backing plate was a brand new standard points kit as well so i paid £20 for the two brand new kits look like i got my self a spare now incase it fails  . also attacked the millions of hot glue the guy had used to hold the head light in on the drivers side that got hit after a while managed to get it all apart and cam across two side light wiring and then the h4 wireing so cam some one explain why i may have two side light wiring if the glass can only handle the one :S |

Are the lights the "Angel Eyes " type  Would you need 2 x sidlight fittings for them One for the actual sidelight and one for the outer circle lighting Just a wild guess you understand! If you only need the one sidelight fitting I would just remove the additional unused one. |

no they arnt angel eye ones jsut standard ones thats why i cant understand it. but i think they could have been angel eyes at some point prohaps

well been over to see the mini today and drop a few things off for it and he has finished sanding down teh car and its ready for its frst coat of primer tomorrow. it getting close  hope to pic it up thursday night friday morning |

yea realy cant wait got a few things to do first though once i get it back small patch on the floor, engine mount/ extra engine mount fromt he speedo part and then get it ready for an mot

well i hope not he is ordering paint tomorrow as well non metalic brg as that what its mean to be aparently as it had metalic on it before but thats all gone now sanded it right down prity much to bare metal but h found blue ppaint on the car as well so its been blue at some point in its life  |

well i have had some good news tonight that the mini is ready to be piced up tomorrow but might not be able to get a life at the moment  . could do with a few help of bits though. 1 what do you lot use to bolt you head light in with as the guy who had mine just siliconed them in place :S 2 which way should they go like where should the adjusting bolts be on the body as i know which way the lights them selves go its just the bowl part with the adjusta part |

ok well gogin to fit them befoer i bring it back as i cant get a trailor to tow it some make it look more less 100% and wont be so bad. thought about self tapping screws but the holes are to big for them think will have to just use nut and bolts for now

light now sorted have an idea on how to fit them and now know where to place them thanks dai . another thing is now anyone know much about carbs settings as my k&n has change the air ratio and car drive like a bag of nails which screw do i need to adjust and which way thanks

well its back now had to buy a enw filter but still doesnt run right might be timing or somthing as well but will sort that out once its sorted. as for the light i have some of those metal clips fomr some ond speakers . here she is    |
